Teen Years - Part II

 Part- II

During this time, we also find some friends around us , who we couldn't recognize earlier, but are really true friends. It means that we find some people around us , who are ever ready to help us, show us the correct path and deserve to be called as true friends. We teens tend to develop new feelings, new thoughts and a new understanding of the world around us, the people around us, events taking place around us. It is very common that we teens face a dilemma in making decisions during this age as it is difficult for us to decide that what will be beneficial for us and which choice should be avoided. At this stage, we require the support of our parents who can guide us and explain the consequences of each of these choices as they have already a full hand experience of all these. At this teenage, students neither remain children, nor do they become adults. So the bringing up of teenagers is quite a difficult task for parents as they too need to be very cautious while taking decisions that affect their children and need to keep an eye on the activities of their teenage children, so as to ensure that they do not head towards the wrong path.

Teenage is the time period during which we tend to open ourselves up to the world and try to give ourselves a better exposure. The thing that most teenagers yearn for, is freedom and independence and an authority to take their own decisions. It is also a phase during which many teens get distracted from their purpose and target. Their are some students who themselves don't pay attention to studies and try to just make other students distracted from it as well. It all depends on the choice of friends we make.  They can bring great transformations in our lives. Some teenagers, at this age, start developing an attraction towards some other teens of the opposite gender and keep on dreaming about it, which distracts them from their studies and other targets. But, the teenagers require the guidance of their parents and relatives, who have already experienced all of it in their times and , thus, can show them the right direction to choose.

During these teen years, we need to take some really crucial decisions of our lives, like we need to make a stream choice for our class XI , on which our entire career depends, our future depends on this as it decides the field we are going to enter, ahead in life, taking it as a profession. But, sometimes, these significant decisions can be influenced by our friends as due to peer pressure, some students tend to opt for a stream that they aren't interested in or even aren't good at. But just to make an impression in front of friends and peers, they tend to take up such decisions, which might destroy their entire future.

This teenage marks the most crucial and significant phase of our lives and we need to ensure that we enjoy the best of it. But besides enjoyment, it is necessary to take care of ourselves and maintain a balance between our teenage joy and our studies and other important decisions necessary for our lives. We must learn to control our mind as it is the age when the mind tends to develop many new thoughts, feelings and sensations and we need to learn to be able to have a control over these and not let these affect our life. 

The journey of teenage life is a really memorable and crucial part of our lives and it teaches us the most important and significant lessons of life.
